The Student's National Executive Committee consist of the president and secretary of each member-fellowship of GHAFES and a Secretary(from the fellowship where the Chairman emerges).

The Committee meets at least twice every year.

Message from 2006/2007 SNEC

FAMOUS last words” is more than a cliché. When notable men and women of influence are about to die, the world waits to hear their final words of insight and wisdom. Then those quotes are repeated and passed it on worldwide. This is also true with a dying loved one. Gathered at his / her side, the family strains to hear every whispered syllable of blessing, encouragement, and advice, knowing that this will be the final message.

One of the most knowledgeable, influential and beloved men of history is the Apostle Paul. And we have his famous last words.

Paul knew that soon he would be executed, and so he wrote his final thoughts to his “son” Timothy, passing to him the torch of leadership, reminding him of what was truly important, and encouraging him in the faith.

The good news in that we are the “Timothy” of today and these are the final instructions and encouragement to us by Paul.

We are being reminded to remember our call and use our gifts with boldness, keep to the truth, prepare others to follow Jesus Christ, be disciplined and ready to endure hardship and keep our eyes and minds focused on Christ Jesus.

Paul did not instruct and encourage us, we are also warned of the opposition that we (GHAFES) would face in the last days from self-centered people who use the pulpit for their own gain and who teach false doctrines.

Above all, Paul admonishes us in 2 Timothy 2:2 that “….. the things we have heard in the presence of many witnesses, entrust / pass it on to faithful  and reliable men and women who will also be qualified to teach others also……..”

If we were to consistently follow this advice, it would expand geometrically, as well-taught believers would teach others and commission them, in turn, to teach still others.  We are living in the midst of a consensus which is strenuously and subtly working in firm opposition to the growth of the Christian faith. There is a wide spread of ignorance, disbeliefs, and distortion of the fundamental themes of the Bible.

As Christian student leaders, we need to be students of God’s word and practitioners of God’s word to pass on our faith ; what we have gain and received from God; our work is not done until new believers are able to make disciples of others.

Consequently, we have an urgent task to make judicious use of the time and members of the CF to be formed in the knowledge of their faith in Christ Jesus.
