| OUR OBJECTIVES |
GHAFES has five main objectives :
1. Evangelism
GHAFES is very much aware of the commission Jesus gave us. We are to "GO YE into the WORLD" and teach them. Our aim is to make Christ known to students and they (students) make Him known through evangelism. It has over the years being one of the main objectives of the fellowship.
2. Discipleship
When the evangelism is done and souls won to Christ. The next objective is to develope them into sons of God, into mature christians through discipleship classes. This how they are raised in the Christ, given assurance of faith, taught the need to study the word of God and live holy lives and to bring others into the fold of Christ Jesus.
3. Leadership Formation
GHAFES acknowledges the fact that the students (especially tertiary students) are the immediate leaders of tomorrow. In that wise, they are give very solid leadership training and advice that will build them up into honest, faithful and uncorrupt leaders. They are to be the light of the world even when they become leaders and not be influenced wrongly.
4. Involvement in the local Church and Society
GHAFES believes that the students who are trained must contribute to local churches when they go back home every vacation. Moreso, they must affect their immediate society by living exemplary lives portraying the christlike-life to the world to see.
5. Mission Involvement
Rural evangelism is one means by which the fellowship shares the unconditional love of God to the world. It is usually done yearly involving students from the various campus fellowships. They are trained and equipped to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. Student-In-Church-Evangelism (SICE) is the main mission programme that takes students to rural areas to give the light of Christ to those that are in darkness. This is well attended by students. |
